Something I drew long before season 7 finale and never meant to actually upload, but changed my mind after watching the last episode, since it’s too much of a coincidence to let it descend into the depths of my drafts. Back then I was in serious need to cheer myself up so I started wondering what, in my opinion, would be the most satisfactory, but still possible (…kind of) Destiel ending of Supernatural. In short: Dean dies and spends his afterlife together with Castiel, watching the fireworks we saw in Dark Side of The Moon and waiting for Sam. I actually had a huge meta written explaining my reasoning, but I don’t think it’s that necessary anymore. When I was drawing this fanart, I thought ending like that would nicely correspond to season 5 finale, but now it’d be an even better reference to the last scenes of season 7. Oh, and about the top two images: I think it’d be… well, a bit cheesy but sweet, if after looking for Dean in countless other heavens, Castiel found him in his favourite one (hence the kite).
